Project summary

We will run a focused thermal and CFD analysis for your device or enclosure and deliver a clear engineering report with hotspots, risks, and practical design recommendations to improve reliability and lifetime. This project is ideal for power supplies, embedded systems, industrial modules, and similar small‑to‑medium devices.

What’s included – Standard (medium complexity)

By default, we analyze air‑cooled systems (natural or forced convection), but liquid cooling (for example, water/glycol) is also possible if we align scope and complexity before starting. The simulation covers 1–2 operating scenarios in the Standard tier, such as nominal operation and a worst‑case high‑ambient or high‑load case.

Premium tier (high complexity)

This project assumes that we either designed the CAD myself in a previous phase (for example, via my Concept‑to‑CAD prototype offer) or that you provide a clean, simulation‑ready 3D model (STEP/SolidWorks) that does not require heavy repair or remodelling. We use SolidWorks/ Ansys SpaceClaim for geometry prep and Ansys Fluent/CFX for thermal‑flow simulations, with Ansys Mechanical for basic coupled thermal‑structural checks in the Premium tier.

What we need before starting

● Provide clean 3D CAD (STEP/SolidWorks) of device/enclosure
● Share power dissipation data for key parts/zones
● Specify main goal (cooling, aerodynamics, hydrodynamics)
● Describe operating conditions (ambient, orientation, airflow)
● Specify cooling type (natural convection, forced air, liquid)
● List known issues (overheating, vibration, flow problems)

What’s not included

● Building CAD models from scratch or repairing very poor geometry
● Large optimization studies with many design variants
● Complex multiphase, boiling, or exotic turbulence models
● Physical lab testing or certification documentation

Steps for completing your project

1. Input & scope alignment

Review your CAD, power data, and operating conditions, confirm cooling type (air / liquid) and scenario list.

2. Geometry preparation

Clean and simplify CAD, remove irrelevant details, create fluid domains (air and, if agreed, liquid).

3. Simulation setup

Define materials and boundary conditions, set up mesh and solver settings in Ansys Fluent/CFX.

4. Simulation runs

Run 1–3 scenarios (depending on tier), debug convergence, refine where needed.

5. Analysis & recommendations

Post‑process fields, identify hotspots and risks, draft practical changes (vents, fans, heat sinks, layout).

6. Report & delivery

Deliver PDF report and key plots; in Premium, hold a review call and finalize any clarifications.

We collaborate under Furtherium,  Inc. (US, Canada) and Furtherium UG (EU/UK) with transparent project-based contracts. Most projects take 1-2 weeks with dedicated communication via our private AWS-hosted community or your corporate systems (Slack, Jira, Notion, Asana, Trello, GitHub, etc.). Typical project cost: €4-8k. Hourly rate: €80/hr.

A deal is considered concluded under the terms of the offer once the contractor confirms the client’s request and the client accepts it through payment. Written communications between the parties form an integral part of the agreement and may serve as valid evidence in case of dispute resolution.

Where additional terms are required, a separate contract and detailed specifications for a series of projects may be agreed upon. If necessary, a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) may also be executed; the contractor’s total liability is limited to the total value of the client’s paid orders.

Offer prices are valid as of the date of publication and may be updated by the contractor at any time prior to order confirmation and client acceptance.

All quoted prices are exclusive of VAT. For clients based in Germany, German VAT (MwSt/USt 19%) will be added to all invoices (Down Payment Invoice, Final Settlement, Outstanding Balance Invoice).

For clients based in the EU (excluding Germany), business customers who provide a valid VAT ID will be invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism, and VAT will be self-assessed by the customer; if no valid VAT ID is provided, German VAT will be added.

For clients in the United Kingdom, local VAT rules apply depending on the place of supply and the customer’s VAT status.

For clients in the United States and Canada, services are provided by Furtherium, Inc. (California, USA). As our services are generally classified as remote consulting and digital services, they are not usually subject to California sales tax; however, sales tax may be charged where required by applicable US state or Canadian provincial law, for example if taxable software or physical deliverables are supplied or if local economic nexus thresholds are exceeded.

Frequently asked questions

Is this only for electronics, or also mechanical / aerospace?

It covers electronics in enclosures, mechanical assemblies, and aerospace or maritime components, as long as the geometry and number of scenarios stay within the agreed Standard or Premium scope.

Do you support both air and liquid cooling / flows?

Yes, we work with air and common liquids (for example water/glycol). More complex multiphase or boiling phenomena may require a higher‑complexity model and a custom quote before we start.

What do I receive at the end of the project?

You receive a PDF report with temperature, pressure, or flow plots, hotspot and risk identification, and specific recommendations to improve cooling, loading, or flow behaviour; Premium also includes a review chat.

What is not included in this project scope?

Building CAD from scratch, heavy geometry repair, large optimization campaigns with many design variants, complex multiphase or exotic turbulence models, and experimental lab testing or certification documents are not included.

Do you need to have created the CAD model yourself?

It is ideal if I created the CAD in a previous design phase, but I can also work with your clean, simulation‑ready STEP/SolidWorks model; extensive fixing or remodelling of poor geometry is outside this project scope.

How can we keep in touch?
